Monday Musts

MUST THINK ABOUT: DAILY INTENTIONS

Habits are important, but it’s also important to check your habits frequently to make sure you aren’t complacent and drifting in the wrong direction. It’s so easy to all into a daily routine, but are you simply going through the motions? Do your habits truly serve you? To succeed and be happy, having intention is significant in everything you do. KNOW where you are going. KNOW how you will get there.

MUST EAT: CAULI RICE FOR VOLUME

These easy bags of cauli rice are a perfect way to add volume to food if you are on a tight macro budget. They are low cal, low carb (50 cals for the whole bag, 1g f, 8c, 3p). I just heat it up in the microwave and toss some chicken with it. I feel like it’s more filling than a salad, so a good option to mix things up. I bought mine as Smith’s.

MUST DO: KETTLEBELL RDLS

RDLs are one of the most functional hinge movements that will help build low back, glutes and hamstrings. Most people only include one variation, but if you are looking to increase strength and aesthetics simultaneously, it’s important to incorporate a variety of RDLs (heavy, light, medium, different rep ranges, etc). For lighter RDLs in a higher rep range, I prefer using a Kettlebell. Here I’m using a 30 lb Kettlebell and using as a finisher, staying in the 15-20 rep range.

MUST BUY: “MORE TO LOVE” LIP COLOR (MAC)

IMG_5582

I am digging this lip color right now. It’s called “More to Love” by MAC; very rich and goes on smooth. For lips, I usually just buy the pro longwear lip pencil and fill the whole lip in. Sometimes I’ll top with lip gloss.

Buy it here.

MUST LISTEN TO: MACKENZIE NICOLE, THE EDGE (ALBUM)

img_5662.png

I haven’t posted much music on Monday musts lately, so I feel like I’m overdue. This week I’ve been listening to this album on repeat. This girl (Mackenzie Nicole) is talented. Her vibe is little different – she actually calls it “dark pop”. And with my old age, I appreciated hearing Tech N9ne on one of her tracks. LOL.

Listen here.

As always, I’m not paid to review or recommend any of the products listed (just things I like).

That’s it for this week’s musts. Have a great week friends!
