Must do: 45 Minute Circuit
So I know it’s a holiday (Happy Memorial Day btw), and maybe you are pressed for time. So here is an idea for a quick 45 minute circuit to get your body feeling toasty today. Pick a weight that’s light, but challenging, because you won’t be resting until the end of the circuit. Rest up to 5 minutes in between circuit and repeat 2-3 times as time permits. Try and let me know what you think!
- 10 Conventional Deadlifts (touch and go)
- 10 2 Arm DB Hammer Curls
- 10 Weighted Dips
- 10 2 Arm BB curl
- 8 Assisted pull ups (hold at top, 2 seconds down)
- Assisted Pull ups until failure
- 10 Straight arm pull downs
Must try: One Protein Bar Peanut Butter Pie
I am in love with this flavor right now. It’s my fav. Tastes just like a dessert. Macros are 220 cals/8g f/23c/20g p.
Buy them here.
Must drink: Synergy Mystic Mango Kombucha
Loving this flavor lately. So I have say that Kombucha isn’t just a trendy drink that all the fitso girls drink (lol) it actually has many health benefits. Some of them include:
- Improved digestion
- Joint care
- Immune boosting
- Reducing inflammation
- Gut health
- Rich in antioxidants
For me, this used to be my mom’s favorite drink years ago. Naturally, she got me hooked on it, so it’s also a sentimental thing that we shared together. And I actually love the taste. I wish I weren’t too lazy to try making my own, I think that would be fun to do. But for now, I’ve tried many brands and come back to this one. Plus the macros aren’t bad (40 cals/10c).
Must Consider: Stay True to Yourself
This saying spoke to me, because sometimes we forget who we are for a bit. We get distracted. We lose ourselves in the outside world and as time goes on we drift from our path. It happens to all of us and that’s OK. This is how we learn. Not only do we learn about ourselves, but also our truths, our weaknesses and who we really are. What is important is that you always come back to yourself. Start listening to your inner voice. Regroup, realign and you will end up incredibly happy. Welcome back.
Must Download: The “Calm” App
I’m always looking for new ways to relax and keeping my mind healthy (just as important as your body). I like this app because it features guided meditations, breathing programs and relaxing music that I can play before I sleep. I’ve noticed huge improvements since I’ve started using it. It actually won app of the year last year, and for good reason. I encourage all my clients to check it out.
You can download it here.
As always, I’m not paid to review or recommend any of the products listed (just things I like).
That’s it for this week’s musts. Have a great week friends!
