So I saw Layne Norton set up his heavy dumbbell floor presses like this the other day, and I will be forever grateful. Working out alone, it can be challenging without a spot. So this little hack was a lifesaver for me.

Must try: Killer Hogs BBQ Rub
Lately I’ve been (OK my husband has) been using with this BBQ rub on our smoked meats, and I’m loving it. It’s a delicious blend of sugar, salt and spices – perfect for pork, beef and poultry. It’s not super salty or overpowering, but still full of flavor. I highly recommend. Plus, you can conveniently buy on Amazon.

Must Live By: “We Repeat What We Don’t Repair”
This quote has been on my mind A LOT lately. Not just for blatantly obvious reasons (like my injury) either; I think it’s applicable to all aspects of life. It’s basically a good reminder that if you don’t fix something, history will keep repeating itself. This could be anything from old habits, repeating negative cycles or harmful behaviors. Instead, we should accept our history, learn from our mistakes and make changes for a better future. You want things to change? Then start changing things. Go figure, right?
